In the city their hearts start to sing
Happy Monday my lovelies! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This is just a short post about what little Valentine's touches I wore this weekend! And no, before you think that I got all dolled up in a ruby red dress complete with red cardigan etc, I thought I'd strip back the loved up look and add little hints of red here and there instead!
Glitter Heart Hair Clip - Crown and Glory
I ordered this captivatingly charming hair clip a few weeks ago from the wonderful Crown and Glory just so I'd have it in time for Valentines. The material used isn't flimsy in the slightest so it's quite sturdy once you've clipped it in. Additionally, as you can see, it's quite a substantial size, which I am so pleased about! Sometimes, with the mass amount of hair I have, the wind tends to take over and completely smother and hide some of my other hair accessories. However, if big, bright and bold isn't your thing, Crown and Glory also offers smaller versions of the heart hair clip, so they've loads to tickle your fancy!
When ordering, you can chose between the bright ruby red I'm wearing, fabulous fuchsia or a lovely candy floss pink, but obviously, considering my hair's already a pinky hue, I thought I'd play it safe with this gorgeous bright red, and I absolutely adore how it looks against my hair!
Glitter Brogues - Sarenza (old)
I kept to the glittered theme and wore these stunning brogues I bought about a year ago. Even though these are quite an aged pair of shoes and have experienced their fair share of wear and tear (ah, I'm a poet and I didn't know it!), one of the best things about them is if they ever see a dull day, I like to get out the trusty super glue and sprinkle and stick some red glitter on them, just to keep them looking fresh! I loved wearing these on Valentines paired with my little heart hair clip as the glittering combination was so eye catching and so different from just wearing your generic heart-printed dress!
How was your Valentine's Weekend?
